Aquaman Mini-Comic
Hi all, it’s been a minute since I last posted a newsletter. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and reconnecting with me. So this is me dusting off the cobwebs and getting back to it.
I started creating mini-comics during the pandemic. I like the fact that they are tangible little books. I also tried to create them with the idea that it’s not precious. Enjoy the process and don’t get hung up on perfection. This can be a challenge because, as I work on projects, I naturally tighten up and start overthinking. When I am working in my sketchbook or a mini-comic, I try my best to step away from perfection and just play. I hope this inspires you to find joy in your own creative projects.

This particular comic I did for a friend who is an Aquaman fan, and I was cracking myself up thinking about poking fun at one of his favorite characters. The joke was on me because suddenly, Aquaman became one of my favorite characters, too. I was overjoyed to hold the comic and flip through the pages instead of clicking through the next page in a PDF. It didn’t take long for me to come up with several new ideas for my take on Aquaman. Here is the first one. I hope you enjoy. If you have an idea for a mini-comic, I encourage you to go for it. It’s a fun exercise, and it might unlock some new ideas too.

Always a lot of fun Rob. I need more!
Yay!!! Aquaman is back!!!!
